Study on Cyclic Cross-Correlation Behaviour of Maximal Length Pseudo-Random Binary Sequences
نویسندگان
چکیده
Cyclic cross-correlation function between image pairs of maximal length pseudo-random binary sequences is studied. It is found that the peak of the cross-correlation remains constant for every possible image pairs of the sequences of the same length. However, this unique property is not valid for all the other possible pairs.

On Pseudo-Random and Orthogonal Binary Spreading Sequences
Different pseudo-random or pseudo-noise (PN) as well as orthogonal sequences that can be used as spreading codes for code division multiple access (CDMA) cellular networks or can be used for encrypting speech signals to reduce the residual intelligence are investigated. We briefly review the theoretical background for direct sequence CDMA systems and describe the main characteristics of the max...
متن کاملOn the Properties of Pseudo Noise Sequences with a Simple Proposal of Randomness Test
Maximal length sequences (m-sequences) are also known as pseudo random sequences or pseudo noise sequences for closely following Golomb’s popular randomness properties: (P1) balance, (P2) run, and (P3) ideal autocorrelation. Apart from these, there also exist certain other less known properties of such sequences all of which are discussed in this tutorial paper. Comprehensive proofs to each of ...
متن کاملThe merit factor of binary sequences related to difference sets
Long binary sequences related to cyclic difference sets are investigated. Among all known constructions of cyclic difference sets we show that only sequences constructed from Hadamard difference sets can have an asymptotic nonzero merit factor. Maximal length shift register sequences, Legendre, and twin-prime sequences are all constructed from Hadamard difference sets. We prove that the asympto...
متن کاملTwo Dimensional Random Patterns
A new approach to the generation of random sequences and two dimensional random patterns is proposed in this paper in which random sequences are generated by making use of either Delaunay triangulation or Voronoi diagrams drawn from random points taken in a two dimensional plane. Both the random sequences and two dimensional random patterns generated in this manner are shown to be more random w...
متن کاملA specialized fast cross-correlation for acoustical measurements using coded sequences.
In acoustics applications, binary maximal-length sequences and related sequences are increasingly used for acoustics system identification tasks. A number of coded sequences, such as binary maximal-length related sequences and ternary sequences possess two-valued or pulselike autocorrelation functions. It is this correlation property that is exploited in most of acoustical applications. However...
